EPAM is currently looking to add a Director, Delivery Management professional to our growing team in Kansas City, MO, or a nearby remote location. Our ideal candidate is part Solution Architect, part Program Manager, and part consultant. The Delivery Director will act as a key senior technical resource, partnering with our Account Managers to engage with clients, run projects, and delivery successful solutions. What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for handling end-to-end Business Unit Level delivery and all project related delivery matters
  • Assist in Presales of new deals
  • Starting up accounts
  • Working on "Smart staffing" and building the RIGHT teams from the start
  • Establishing Governance processes, setting up Delivery to be on track and monitoring progress
  • Work on long term delivery location strategy with offshore e.g. building centers for Healthcare Delivery, Working with country heads, staffing, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition, etc
  • Building Healthcare Global Delivery Community
  • Long term career development for other Delivery Managers
  • Building client relationships
  • Managing Delivery Escalations
  • Able to travel
  • Take a proactive part in suggesting technologies, tools and approaches
  • Responsible for setting up the project from the ground up, as well as advocating for the best engineering practices and tools for effective use
  • Contributes to the presales activities including estimations, architecture reviews, and documentation
  • Contribute best practices & processes as well as delivery management knowledge base to the company
  • Responsible for staffing/resourcing for successful project delivery, proactively supervising technical delivery teams both onshore and offshore
  • Drives engagements of the average size of 50-100+ FTEs in total
  • Governing the delivery across stakeholders, handling complicated engineering issues, making sure the design, code and overall solution is of top-notch quality. Is completely responsible for the overall customer experience in terms of delivery
  • Responsible for developing and executing the succession plan of the projects on their account
  • Takes a proactive role in contributing to the best delivery management practices and processes within the company
  • Participates in mentoring and talent development programs for delivery leads and managers

What You Have

  • Experience acting as a Delivery Manager or Solution Architect on complex technical projects
  • Domain knowledge of Healthcare business is nice to have
  • Strong Healthcare Payer/Provider domain knowledge (e.g., HL7/FHIR, payer/provider)
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data, Business Intelligence, IoT, Cloud, and/or Analytics
  • 10+ years of experience in software delivery
  • 5+ years in positions of Delivery/Team Lead, Solution/Enterprise Architect, or Delivery/Project/Program Manager
  • Experience delivering web applications using Java/JavaScript technologies
  • Experience in governing project delivery across the board of all stakeholders and proven track record in handling complicated engineering issues, assuring quality and timely delivery
  • Strong, proven experience in software engineering with ability to design and deliver sustainable solutions
  • Experience in the design and implementation of continuous integration, delivery, and deployment setups
  • Strong communication skills, and proven ability to handle conflicts and taking on responsibility
  • Experience and up-to-date knowledge of design and implementation of end-to-end solutions (including OOP, SOA, mobile, and responsive applications)
  • Experience with outcome-based setups, delivering on hard commitments and fixed timelines
  • Agile/Scrum experience is a must
  • Professional services experience is preferred
