EPAM Systems, Inc. provides this Data Privacy Statement ("Statement") to describe how we collect, process, and use individually identifiable information about you ("Personal Data") when you apply for a position at EPAM by using the EPAM job application website (the "Portal").

Personal Data collection, processing and use

In connection with your application and interview process and through the remote job interviews (if applicable) via the Portal or otherwise, EPAM may collect, process, and use certain Personal Data about you, i.e.: name, address, personal and work phone numbers, email address, job history and employment experience, education, job skills and languages spoken, positions sought, other information you provide in your resume or curriculum vitae, and/or other information gathered during the audio and/or video interviews (if applicable) as a candidate for employment with EPAM, including any Personal Data you choose to share during your interview via the Portal or electronic notes or comments prepared by interviewers during the interview.

Purpose of Personal Data collection, processing and use

Personal Data may be collected, processed and used to evaluate your candidacy for employment with EPAM and to notify you via email notifications or via LinkedIn regarding your application or any other available EPAM roles.  We will also use your Personal Information to email you or contact you in relation to any other potential job openings in EPAM and to send you newsletters and other similar information about EPAM from time to time.  In addition to transmitting such information during the application process to the interview partner(s), if applicable, your Personal Data may be stored by EPAM for review purposes for as long as necessary to evaluate your candidacy.

Personal Data Sharing and Security

The Personal Data may be transferred to service providers as data processors for the purposes of IT hosting and support. Personal Data may also be transferred to certain EPAM affiliates as data controllers to participate in the process of evaluating your candidacy as appropriate. EPAM will establish or confirm that all recipients of Personal Data will provide an adequate level of protection for such information, including implementing appropriate data security measures.  EPAM reserves the right to disclose Personal Data in compliance with applicable laws to law enforcement officials or where required by law, to other third parties to comply with a legal obligation, or as necessary in connection with the sale or transfer of all or a portion of the business.

EPAM maintains commercially reasonable safeguards to help protect your Personal Data, including assuring that service providers who access or handle Personal Data on our behalf affiliates and third party service providers maintain such safeguards. Personal Data will only be held as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

The Portal is hosted and operated in the United States. As EPAM Systems, Inc. neither joined to the Privacy Shield Framework nor applies Binding Corporate Rules (BCR) approved by a data security agency, EU data security regulations do not apply to the activity of EPAM Systems, Inc. Accordingly your Personal Data will be transferred to, stored and or processed in countries where the privacy laws may not provide an equivalent level of protection to those in your home country.

Access, corrections, and deletions of Personal Data

If you wish to request an update of any Personal Data you have previously provided, or to exercise any right provided under the data privacy laws of your home jurisdiction including the right of access, rectification, deletion, blocking or opposition to the processing of your Personal Data, please contact us as indicated under "Contact" in this Statement.  Depending on applicable law, exceptions to such information access may include, but not be limited to, circumstances where disclosure of Personal Data may prejudice the confidentiality necessary, for limited periods, in connection with employee succession planning.


EPAM may place "session cookies" on the hard drive of your computer to improve the functionality of the site. You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to complete your application and/or conduct the video interview. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, EPAM will issue cookies when you log on to the website.
