Diwali is the festival of lights celebrated every year in India. It spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair. During Diwali, we light up lamps (‘Diyas’ and candles) and create ‘Rangoli’ (an art form that consists of patterns made on the floor using colored sand, flowers etc.).
To celebrate Diwali at EPAM India, we held a few fun events so that our EPAMers could collaborate and have fun. We invited EPAMers to set up stalls where they could sell handmade diyas, homemade chocolates and other items. We also held a Rangoli competition where our people came together and created beautiful art designs and colorful patterns. Apart from the stalls offering diyas and chocolates, our team members set up games with fun activities. It was great to see EPAMers play the games, win prizes and cheer for their peers when they won. A stall offering Mehendi designs and caricature art work added color to the festivities. Towards the end of the event, we held a Bingo competition with many participants and exciting prizes were given to the winners.
