DESCRIPTION


Do you have a knack for integrating complex applications into our IT landscape? Are you able to quickly analyze software requirements and correlate these with our existing and future IT infrastructure? We’re looking for someone like that to help in our client’s office in Zurich.

Responsibilities

  • Determine software specific functional and nonfunctional requirements
  • Meet the highest level of operational stability and security for new software delivered into production
  • Ensure timely application readiness by working closely with our development and infrastructure teams, change & project management teams
  • Coordinate project’s specific packaging, infrastructure requirements and application issues with our external vendors
  • Conduct application specific (infrastructure & security) data-gathering activities in connection with audit and risk management requirement
  • Proactively support business analysts and project managers to identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional application requirements

Requirements

  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux (RHEL) operating systems, z/OS would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (you know how to figure things out)
  • Experience in Web and DB technologies (mainly WebSphere, Tomcat, Oracle, DB2)
  • Good scripting skills, mainly Shell, Perl and Rexx
  • Solid background in system architecture, business continuity management and network design
  • Knowledge of financial messaging standards SWIFT FIN, MX
  • Software development experience preferably in the financial industry (Java & J2EE) would be a benefit
  • 5+ years of experience as software engineering
  • Expert in software engineering with a strong focus on operational stability, security and application resilience
  • An excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills
  • A flexible, resilient team player with a positive attitude
  • Known for your can-do attitude when tackling daily tasks
